Please see below the Terms and Conditions for Move Strong London, including our liability policy and our booking and cancellation policies:
Personal Training (“PT”)
Cancellation policy: 24 hours
We operate a strict 24-hour cancellation policy for all PT sessions. Any cancellation within 24 hours of the start of a session will be considered a “late cancel”. This policy applies to both trainers and clients, meaning: if a client late cancels, they forfeit the session; and if the trainer late cancels, they owe the client a free session.*
At the discretion of the trainer and the client, the trainer and client may agree to reschedule the session to a different time in the same week rather than triggering the cancellation policy, but please note this is not always feasible, and neither the trainer nor the client has an obligation to reschedule a late cancelled session.
While we appreciate that life happens and circumstances are often outside of our control, there are no exceptions to the cancellation policy. The cancellation policy is in place for the benefit of both the client and the trainer: to ensure trainers are paid fairly for their time and clients are compensated for the inconvenience caused by a late cancel. In addition, maintaining a strict cancellation policy is necessary for the smooth running of the gym. Please remember that we are a small business, and keeping the doors open is cost and time intensive. Spending less time on cancellation queries enables us to spend more time focusing on the gym and programmes for clients to enjoy.
Terms of PT Blocks
PT sessions are purchased in blocks of ten sessions (a “10 block”) or blocks of twenty sessions (a “20 block”).
10 blocks expire 4 months from the date of the first session of the block, and 20 blocks expire 6 months from the date of the first session of the block.
*Free sessions offered under the cancellation policy generally must be completed within the expiration date of the original block. The only exception to this would be if there is a late cancel near the end of the original block and it would not be reasonably possible to schedule the additional session within the expiration period. In such circumstances, free sessions should be completed as soon as reasonably possible after the expiration period.
PT blocks are non-refundable.
PT blocks may, under certain circumstances, and at our discretion, be transferred to another client already working with the same trainer. This is subject to written agreement from Move Strong London. Transfers of PT blocks are subject to availability of the trainer, the new client completing the screening questionnaire provided and reviewing and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. It is not possible to transfer sessions from one personal trainer to another i.e. if a client purchase sessions from one of our trainers, the sessions need to be delivered by that trainer and cannot be transferred to or delivered by another trainer at Move Strong.
Upon transfer of a PT block to another client, the new client assumes the PT block on the same terms as the original client; i.e., all remaining sessions must be completed within the original expiration period.
Trainer availability
Upon signing up to a PT block with Move Strong London, the client will be allocated a trainer and a regular time slot for training will be agreed.
The allocation of a trainer will take into account the client’s personal goals and needs for PT and the availability and relevant qualifications of our trainers.
If a trainer becomes unavailable or leaves the company in the middle of a client’s PT block, Move Strong London will allocate an alternate trainer to deliver the remaining sessions in the PT Block, once again taking into account the above factors.
Group Classes
We pride ourselves on offering quality instruction by excellent coaches, in a community focused environment, at an affordable price. In return, we appreciate your understanding and respect for our Terms and Conditions.
Group classes are available on a pay-as-you-go (“PAYG”) basis. All classes must be booked in advance. For the current prices and timetables, please see our website.
Cancellation policy: 12 hours
We operate a strict 12 hour cancellation policy for group classes. This policy is necessary to effectively manage class availability and the waiting list.
If a PAYG client late cancels or does not show up for class, the credit used to book the class is forfeit.
In the event that there are 2 or less clients booked in for a class 6 hours before the class is due to start, the class will unfortunately be cancelled. In addition, in the unlikely event that a class cannot be delivered due to instructor illness/emergency/etc, the class will be cancelled and we will communicate this to you as soon as possible. In the event of a class cancellation, all PAYG credits will be returned.
PAYG
PAYG class credits may be purchased individually.
Class credits expire within 30 days of purchase.
PAYG classes are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another client upon written agreement from Move Strong London.
Open Gym - Members Only
We offer open gym sessions throughout the week during our off-peak hours. These are available only to members that are currently taking part in PT or Group Classes. Open Gym sessions are unsupervised training sessions - although a member of staff will be present, they won’t be available to assist you and your training will be done independently. We are not liable for any injury sustained during independent training. Members will be liable for any costs for equipment they break or damage during Open Gym. Health
By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions clients confirm that they do not suffer from health problems that would hinder exercise, prevent them from engaging in exercise, or would be detrimental to their health, safety or physical condition. If there is any doubt, advice should be sought from a medical doctor who should confirm the ability to exercise. Move Strong London Ltd have no obligation to perform a fitness assessment.
Liability
Any and all use of Move Strong London facilities are at the clients own risk and clients are liable for any damage and/or personal injury while on the premises. Clients should not use any equipment unless they know the correct usage. Move Strong London are not liable for any injuries sustained to the client, or damage to property of the client.

We operate a strict no discrimination policy and our Inclusion Statement can be found here. If a client behaves in a way that contradicts this policy their membership will be suspended or terminated.
